There are two applicants for the registry rights of the .GOO domain extension, Google and NTT Corp. Whichever applicant becomes the registry, this TLD will remain a restricted registry, for the purpose of either strengthening Google or goo (NTT’s Japanese Web portal) online image. .GOO will provide a specific, relevant, and credible namespace in which customers, clients, affiliates, employees, and other businesses will be able to recognize that .GOO exclusively related to the company that owns it.
